Simon has worked within Child and Adolescent Mental Health since completing his doctoral training in 1999. He specialises in clinical interventions for depression, anxiety, deliberate self-harm, parenting and autistic spectrum disorders. He teaches at local universities in addition to providing training to agencies such as Connexions and to local schools and housing projects. He provides expert witness services to the family and criminal courts, and is currently leading the development of therapynetwork.co.uk, a new directory of local and national therapists.
Simon is taking a sabbatical from legal assessment work work until September 2010, to concentrate on the development of ASD assessment packages and Therapy Network.
Dr Freddy Jackson Brown is a chartered clinical psychologist who has worked in the NHS for 15 years. He currently delivers mental health services to disabled children for North Bristol NHS Trust. His interests include child development, language and communication, challenging behaviour, staff systems, emotional literacy and supervision. He is also an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) practitioner. In addition to his NHS work Freddy provides consultation, assessment and intervention services to businesses and charities on personnel issues and organisational structures.
Joanne Cousins is a Chartered Educational Psychologist with over 16 years of experience working with children and adults. She specialises in Early Years work and Autistic Spectrum Disorders, as well as having expertise in delivering evidence-based parenting programmes. Joanne provides educational consultation and support at the whole-school, classroom and individual child levels. She places the empowerment of children and their carers at the centre of her practice.
Rachael qualified from the University of Plymouth Clinical Psychology training course in 2004. She has worked in South Wales and currently works for the South Gloucestershire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). Rachael provides specialist clinical assessment and intervention for complex emotional and mental health issues which children and young people may be experiencing. She has particular skills and an interest in working with children and young people with attachment difficulties and who may have experienced traumas such as sexual abuse, neglect and domestic violence.
Jonathan graduated from Plymouth University doctoral clinical psychology training in 2002. He has worked in adult mental health and learning disability services in the NHS, the private sector, and in the New Zealand public health service. He has worked with people with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) since 1989. His current role as a clinical psychologist includes working with adults with an ASD who have experience of the criminal justice system and are sectioned under the Mental Health Act 1983.
Andrew Lister is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who has worked in Child Mental health services since qualifying from Manchester University in 1988. He leads the Thinking Allowed service in Bristol, providing consultation, training and therapy to Children in Care and the professionals who support them. Andrew specialises in the application of attachment theory to clinical work, and has developed a training programme on this topic that is always over-subscribed and invariably receives excellent feedback.
Dr Jennifer Murray is a chartered clinical psychologist who has worked in various NHS roles including forensic mental health services, learning disability services and child services. She currently works as a Clinical Psychologist within a Tier 2 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Buckinghamshire. Her role involves the assessment and delivery of short term, early intervention mental health services to children and adolescents with a range of difficulties. Her interests include learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders, forensic psychology and the use of psychological formulation to understand individual, group and family processes.
Steve's reputation as a leading national and international expert on leadership, teams and teamwork development is founded on innovative and inspiring service development and consultancy, high quality research, diverse managerial and practitioner experience, and widespread publication. Alongside his freelance role, Steve is a Leadership Development Associate with the Kings Fund, Visiting Professor with the School of Health and Social Care at the University of the West of England, and associate of the Centre for Solutions Focus at Work.
Alison Price is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who works independently with Children and Families. She qualified in 1992 and since then has worked with children and young people within the NHS, Social Services and in Private Practice. She works clinically with the full range of emotional and behavioural difficulties experienced by children and adolescents, taking an holistic approach to her therapeutic work. Alison has close ties with local universities and has acted as a supervisor, tutor and trainer on the Cardiff clinical psychology training course.
Victoria specialises in work with children and young people. She has worked in a variety of NHS child services and currently works in a NHS Paediatric team. Victoria also established The Parent Support Service three years ago to provide practical, professional guidance to parents concerned about their child’s behaviour, emotional well-being or family relationships. She works therapeutically with children and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger and aggression and trauma as well as offering support to parents. Victoria has particular interest in working with children and adults experiencing post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and has completed advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Nigel initially trained as a Civil Engineer but has been developing his expertise in mediation, conflict resolution, training and consultation approaches since 1991. Since 1997 he has run his own business offering training on mediation within commmunities, organisations and the criminal justice system. His practice is informed by the Creative Listening and Process Oriented Psychology approaches, as well as the practice of Aikido.
Charlotte Swift is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist working in the field of psychological assessment and intervention with children and adults. She currently specialises in psychological assessment and intervention for women of working age who have complex difficulties including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and post-traumatic stress (PTSD). She has a special interest in domestic violence, trauma and borderline personality disorder, particularly within a context of social inequalities, and difficulties related to this such as eating disorders and self-harm. She undertakes legal work in addition to her clinical services.
Natty has worked as an NHS Clinical Psychologist since 1995, and is also a Health Psychologist working in physical health settings. She has a strong appreciation of the emotional demands associated with being disabled or having a long term health difficulty. She sees the role of psychologists working in these settings as supporting people to cope as effectively as possible with their conditions . In her small private clinic Natty provides personal injury assessments for solicitors, especially where clients have Post Trauma and / or have experienced an injury that has changed their appearance. She is an accredited EMDR practitioner, and offers training on diversity and equality issues particularly in relation to working with diabled people. She provides to clinical supervision to fellow health professionals.
