Experience

Alison Price is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has worked with children and families since qualifying from the South Wales Training course in Clinical Psychology, in 1992. She has worked within the NHS, within Social Services and in Private Practice.  Alison provides clinical services in Monmouth and Bristol.

Alison has considerable clinical experience in the field of Child and Family development and the challenges associated with it – both ‘normal’, as well as those presented by traumatic events and experiences.

Alison has worked with children and families within the Care system, assisting in the development of care plans for individual children and offering consultations to Social Workers (field and residential) and to Foster Carers

She has taught on the South Wales Doctoral Training in Clinical Psychology and has provided placements for trainee Psychologists.

Alison is very interested in the field of complementary health and in exploring the effectiveness of Clinical Psychology when offered alongside other forms of therapy, such as homeopathy, reiki or reflexology.
